So it's done, moving on to the next one maybe Blides or Araam.
Jeza “The Sense”
Jeza is the only living female Knight of the Royal Guard of Amaldan. She was recruited by Arad after one of former member died and a replacement was needed.
When not in combat, or duty, Jeza is a lady in the true meaning of the word. Her hair is completely straight and falls over her shoulds giving her a more feminine look. But beware, though her calm appearance and serene state may decieve, for when in combat she appears as if being possessed. She combs her hair differently giving her more a tomboyish look. Jeza fights with two shields, which is a very rare fighting style, for she only blocks and parries at first, but after further studying her prey, she will strike with them with as much ferocity as a knight wielding a sword, breaking bones and slashing with the edges everything that comes across her in the battlefiled.
Much like Arad, Jeza was born from a normal family of Oner. She trained from an early age right after her father was killed. Soon after she and her mother were raped within the city and she vowed never to be as week and as feeble as she was prior to that. So she trained, hard enough that she could one day avenge her father and prove herself as more than a mere girl.
I love how this armor looks amazingly sharp but retains praticality. It seems a perfect balance of protection and mobility.
The lady in the armor just strikes me as someone that holds on firmly to their confidence and runs with it. The serious and stern expression on her face coupled with the practical haircut makes it clear this is not someone you want to mess with.
Also, despite all this, I love how she's still sexy as hell. It's very hard to find a sweet balance between tough and beautiful, but you sure as hell nailed it.
Thanks for sharing this, it's definately inspiring for writers seeking strong realistic lady knights.
Very interesting character design and the colour choice. I like the red marks on Jeza's face. The red fabric on her left shoulder looks nice as well, though I wonder why it is only on one side (intentional design?). But since this character is a female, I find her neck too short. Also her right hand stands out too much, might be too light. Then her right hip looks a bit disproportionate to the left one. If it was supposed to be covered with another shield, you should make it more obvious and the shape of it would probably mimic the one on her left side. And one more detail that is not noticeable at first is the strange position of her left arm. Appears to be too low and the forearm is missing if it was bent in this way. Something is definitely not right and a little confusing. You might want to check that again. Good luck with the rest of your characters, Rui
regarding the cape (red cloth) it goes from one shoulder to the back of the opposite shoulder plate.
oh i will definitely check those, but i need t finish off a couple of illustrations first before having the time to go back Hubris illustrated needs some illustrations done fast in order to make some layout tests
