welll as soon as i has time to paint i finished it up pretty quickly i should say

this started out very very bad i was having issues with her face and i still do, i need more time to be able to use what i know of portraiture to apply to character creation

the point is i returned with a character which was something i was neglecting, and because i felt a certain need to go back to

this character, Mirabell, has been through a lot of changes and i decided to paint her this month specifically because i'ts been 4 years since i joined dA and my first character to digitally paint was also her

so 4 years got me here
here's the thumb to the first illustration of her

so in four years how would i grade my development, well it could be better but we all have our learning curves and since most of what i know digitally was self taught... don't know for sure ill let you decide

Mirabell had also another version done in 2009

the changing from painting stles from year to year is evident

and one done in 2008

i mixed a bit of all three to get this one
also since Mirabell was the first character that i painted digitally i figured it should also be first to be painted with the intuos, so maybe this was what i needed to break free from a certain demon that was holding me back

honestly i still don't think it's better than last years armored version tho

that topped everything off

this one was absolutely perfect in every possible way and it annoys me that i can't top off one of my painting its ridiculous, i've evolved a lot since last year but still i can't seem to do any better so whats holding me back?

""Daughter of Martien Grunt and sister to Ginevra Grunt.
Mirabell was a bookworm as well as completely devoted to magic and that personality only led to a life of suffering, she studied magic and all forms of it on the Marble Tower and she quickly became a powerful magician only to be underestimated by her superiors, her powers and abilities were limitless but she was never taken seriously for being too young.
The high ranked magicians gave her the title of teleporter and hired her as one for the Marble Tower to make the connections between floors.
One day upon a visit from King Raziel he reads Mirabell's mind and discovers something truly unique about her as well as a deep secret she tried to hide and he by curiosity must get a hold of.
King Raziel aware of her tremendous power took her from the Marble Tower and turned her into his personal adviser and main magician...
they both fell in love"

my favourite "normal" outfit of Mirabell. I really liked the first one, very simplistic, but this conquered my eyes.
It's shows you had some struggle with her, but it's not that bad. Don't be very attached with the last one, or else, in your head you will think you will never do a good one again ºAº

she needs something worth it
something more detailed classy and sexy for her
